Feature Highlight: YouTube Uploads

Updated: Mar 7

At Thea Study, we're always looking for ways to enhance your learning experience. One of our most exciting features—one that has received incredible feedback—is our YouTube Uploads feature.

Convert Any YouTube Video into a Study Kit

Whether you're watching a detailed lecture, an insightful podcast, or even a deep dive into pop culture, Thea helps you retain and understand the key information. With just a few clicks, you can upload lectures to AI and transform any YouTube video into a structured study kit or summary. This feature allows for a free YouTube video summary, making your learning process more efficient and engaging.

How to Use It

Using this feature is simple:

  1. Navigate to Upload Materials under “Add a Study Kit” or “Add a Summary.”

  1. Paste in the YouTube link.

  1. Thea will generate a free AI video summary in seconds—ready for you to review, study, and master!

Example: How You Can Use This Feature

Crash Course is a great resource for students to learn about complicated subjects in a video format. Let’s take this biology video for example: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsDxw63QqK0&list=PL8dPuuaLjXtPW_ofbxdHNciuLoTRLPMgB&index=24

This video provides great information about Parts of the Cell, Endosymbiosis, and Classical vs Modern Cell Theory. But just watching the video is a passive form of studying. Students can take this video and upload it to Thea to actively engage with the material. Active recall is a learning technique that involves actively retrieving information from memory rather than passively reviewing it. Thea’s Smart Study feature is a great resource to use to study with active recall.

In addition to free AI video summaries, Thea also acts as a free test generator from lectures, allowing students to generate practice questions based on the content they’ve uploaded.
